WIP Wednesday

Almost done with my Modern Maple Quilt.  I just have to sew down the binding!  In my last post about this quilt, it was heading off to Sister Beth's house to be quilted. I was so proud of myself for getting the striped binding all ready to go.
Unfortunately, I ended up not liking that binding.  It was too busy for the leaves. Beth and I auditioned all of the solids, and decided on Kaffe's shot cotton "Sunshine".  What a great shade of yellow! And I had just enough left to make the binding.

 Beth's quilting is beautiful and a perfect choice to compliment the leaves!

I love how the quilting adds texture to the leaves.

usually wait to pick my backing and binding until I am done with piecing the quilt.  Now I remember why!
